This is one of the hottest topics in regards to 5.0 for both players and staff alike. We've been going back and forth on both sides since before the 5.0 admins or story masters were hired. I'm sorry, I know this ruling will not be liked by many, but neither Beast or Demon will be playable player characters in 5.0. We are implementing to many experimental changes to the game and staffing structure to toss in an X factor like a new splat type. We may however see them as NPCs through out the 5.0 game.
